The Event Services Specialist, Atlas provides in-house Atlas project support for event and marketing efforts. This role coordinates communications and project support, working with members and staff maintaining significant interaction with all levels of YPO Management and vendors. Achieves consistent quality and excellence of programs by managing events that meet organizational goals, member needs and ensure member take-home-value. Responsible for up-to-date knowledge of registration policies and procedures.


  • Supports YPO Atlas in all aspects of events, including planning and execution.
  • Set-up of websites for each event registration utilizing Cvent.
  • Accountable for the entire registration process for YPO Atlas events.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics, marketing information, resource information, preparation of materials and other administrative support functions.
  • Support design, marketing, managing and evaluation efforts for assigned events.
  • Responds in a quality and timely fashion to all general registration inquiries from members and staff, including event registration and logistics.
  • Use the YPO database to mine YPO Member data based on specific parameters in order to generate a targeted marketing and other needs.
  • Provide research and problem-solving solutions on projects.
  • Maintain and archive historical information on YPO events.
  • Maintain relationships with outside vendors.
  • Timely production of accurate reports for team, as necessary.
  • Support YPO membership team as needed through renewals, reinstatement, and prospective member programs.



  • Strong event planning, management and execution skills required.
  • Ability to be proactive and offer unparalleled customer service in achieving desired outcomes. Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong diplomacy skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships with all levels of associates, members, and vendors. Adaptable, insightful, empathetic, and reliable. Great sense of humor and humility.
  • Able to identify problems, research alternatives, provide solutions and/or resolve issues in a timely manner. Anticipates member/internal client needs and delivers with clarity.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural organization with international members, helping them achieve excellence in voluntary roles for YPO initiatives.

  • Analytical thinker with ability influence and guide processes with appropriate approach and execution. Natural curiosity and desire to learn more; proficiency and interest in applying new technologies and tools.
  • Professional presence, appearance, and stature to interact easily with YPO members, C-level executives, and peers at all levels within the organization.
  • Resourceful and able to work independently with initiative and common sense. Effective time management, organization, and prioritization skills with the ability to focus on varied projects simultaneously.
  • Possesses a distinct global mindset, sensitive to local and international customs and protocols.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proof reading, with a meticulous attention to detail. Adjusts communication style appropriately to the audience.



  • 3+ years of experience in delivering an exceptional customer service.
  • Proven experience in supporting and executing multiple stakeholder goals and deliverables.
  • Membership or association experience preferred, with an understanding of governance structures.
  • Experience in professional services and/or event planning environments with multiple stakeholder groups/committees and consensus management, preferred.



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in various technology mediums including specific software programs and tools (Cvent, Microsoft Outlook, Excel)
  • Sensitivity to a multi-cultural environment
  • Previous experience working in a resource capacity.
  • 2-3 years event planning experience; hotel or conference industry, helpful



  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as a remote team member and as needed to accommodate members and team members in multiple time zones.
  • Ability to work for extended hours at a computer screen.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, without restrictions, approximately 10% per year.
