Overview

The Executive Education Partnerships Director will lead the strategy, design, and expansion of YPO executive education partnership ecosystem through the creation and development of a more engaging, relevant EE ecosystem accessible by all YPO Communities. Focused on driving member engagement through collaboration across YPO in the formation, implementation and execution of EE programming and continuously enhance the mutual value creation and relevancy between EE partnerships and YPO Communities.

Responsibilities

  • Partnership Strategy: Guide the Executive Education ecosystem partnership strategy, ensuring alignment with YPO’s strategy and priorities and collaboration with all internal stakeholders that are integral to the execution of the strategy.
  • Business Development: Lead all business development activities supporting the expansion of the executive education ecosystem, including research, sourcing, outreach, qualifying, negotiating, and contracting with strategic partners in the academic space.
  • Strategic Partner Management: Ongoing evaluation and assessment of existing Executive Education partners, building strategies for measuring value, modifying, and implementing change for continuous improvement.
  • Value Creation: Optimize the mutual value created between the Executive Education partnership ecosystem and YPO communities by implementing measurement systems and continuously evolving programs, partnership strategies and creative solutions that increase value.
  • Lead and motivate a team of professionals in business development, account management, member engagement.
  • Manage and influence all internal and external stakeholders in the Executive Education ecosystem, including member champions, strategic partners, management associates and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Partnerships team through regular communication, ideation, and cooperation in the development and implementation of shared strategic initiatives designed to improve and enhance the overall partnership ecosystem.

 

Qualifications

SKILLS

  • Demonstrated skills in developing go-to-market strategies, business development and negotiating strategic partnerships in a B2B environment.
  • Leadership skills and ability to synthesize and integrate ideas and information to influence, partner, build consensus and foster strategic trusted advisor relationships with members and all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in terms of upward and lateral stakeholder management, with a proactive, problem-solving, and solution-focused approach that continues to develop positive relationships across boundaries to align solutions.
  • Superior ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships across boundaries to align on solutions.
  • Ability to learn quickly and continually develop.
  • Demonstrated experience of operationalizing project plans, designing new solutions, and building capability through innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to effectively manage trade-off decisions, prioritize competing opportunities, balance member and internal stakeholder needs with business priorities, manage cross functional expectations, and clearly articulate the rationale behind decisions.
  • Ability to effectively lead, build and manage a high performing team.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present effectively.
  • Understanding of in-person, virtual, blended, and on-demand event design, management, and production requirements, in order to effectively engage with matrixed teams.
  • Ability to work within ambiguity and frequently changing environment while bringing a sense of calm to the team, leading them through high priority and impactful delivery.
  • Analytical with extremely high judgement, structured thinking and problem solving to ensure solutions for the highest opportunity areas.

 

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

  • 7+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, successfully leading and managing a global and cross-functional team.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and negotiating complex strategic partnerships that generate mutual value and are sustainable.
  • 3+ years managing business development and account management teams.
  • Exposure to the adult education industry, preferably with executive education and academic institutions.

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate members and team members in multiple time zones.
  • Ability to work for extended hours at a computer screen.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, without restrictions.
